THE RE STORATION

Who are we

THE RE STORATION is a social enterprise run by the charity West End Impact.

Our project manager, Peter, brings over 17 years of experience in furniture restoration, French polishing, and woodwork. His background includes working with the renowned Odd Chair Company and in the building materials trade.

Today, Peter shares his expertise with individuals supported by our charity teaching practical skills, guiding them toward furniture-related AQA qualifications, and helping them build confidence and improve their wellbeing. Through this hands-on training, many are able to move on to further education or secure meaningful employment.

What do we do

At the heart of our work is a commitment to sustainability and community. We collect second-hand furniture through house clearances and generous donations, then expertly restore each piece to a high standard for resale in our shop. This not only gives customers access to affordable, high-quality furniture, but also creates meaningful opportunities for our clients to gain hands-on experience, build confidence, and achieve AQA qualifications.

In addition to supporting our charitable mission, we also offer a personal furniture restoration service bringing new life to your treasured items while helping us continue the work we do.

What services we offer

We provide one-to-one support and mentoring alongside a range of specialist furniture services, including:

  • Furniture repair and restoration
  • French and Danish polishing
  • Upcycling and decorative paint effects
  • Flat-pack furniture assembly
  • Hands-on training in furniture restoration and repair
  • Support in gaining AQA qualifications in furniture reconditioning, upcycling, and painting

Whether you're interested in us completing a restoration project, donating second-hand furniture, volunteering in our shop, or learning furniture restoration skills with Peter, we'd love to hear from you.
